PETE TUMMINELLI -President
Pete Tumminelli was born in Queens, New York in the shadow of Citi Field. He received his Master’s Degree in Sociology and Communications from Boston College and played on the Boston College baseball team as a right fielder. He began his sales career as a radio and TV advertising sales representative which led to a two-year stint as a Sports Talk show host and TV Reporter. Pete has had the privilege of interviewing such sports luminaries as Sugar Ray Leonard, Angelo Dundee, Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice, Yogi Berra, Russ Francis, Mike Emrick, Johnny Bench and Tom Seaver. He coached high school football and baseball for over 20 years, earning two Division Championships, one State Championship, and eight Championship game appearances in his career.
Pete has parlayed his coaching and motivational skills into one of the nation’s leading Healthcare Executive Recruitment Specialists. Since 1984, Pete has assisted hundreds of client companies in attracting and hiring over 1500 top quality healthcare professionals. He founded Tumminelli & Associates in 1989, and since its inception, the firm has specialized in assisting numerous medical venture capital start-up companies during their initial hiring phase and has assisted thousands of sales professionals to pursue a career in the medical profession. Pete is a member of the First Interview National Recruiting Network, the Medical Marketing Association, and has been a featured columnist in several job search publications.
Still an avid sports enthusiast, Pete is a long-distance runner, avid golfer, and has the world’s ugliest jump shot. Yet he can answer almost any question about his two favorite teams: the New York Mets and the New York Giants. Pete resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
